PAINT THE DOOR! I just did my interior side a few weeks ago and i do love the contrast. my husband and i had talked about it months ago and on a whim, while my boys were napping, i pulled out the can of oil paint and just went for it. my husband came into the entry and gasped ... he didn't remember agreeing to it! oops. we now have a black door and there really is no going back. all to say, make sure you guys agree on it before you start painting!

Came from Kimba's! We have a transom and I have been thinking of getting some etched glass vinyl decals for the squares. Love the starfish!! (I put felt ghosts and bats in ours at Halloween!) :)

And yes, on the black painted door inside. It looks great done that way, I think you'd love it. Just the door. I'd love to do it too, but my hubby is against it so it's not worth arguing over.

I painted the inside of my front door black. I LOVE it. The hall is smallish, not too much light, but enough that the black works. HOWEVER, I painted my single sidelight black too and hated that. I repainted the sidelight white, kept just the back of the door black and it is so much better. You have two sidelights, much more symmetrical so painting the sidelights would work for you. Hope this helps.

Your exterior house color is perfect. I love how the starfish look in your windows. Such a creative idea! I'm going to look for spots in my house where I can change out little objects like that with the seasons. My house always seems stuck in Autumn mode. Thanks for inspiring me to decorate for Summer.

I think your idea of painting your interior door black. I've been meaning to do that to my back door in the kitchen. It's on the to do list for the next few months.
