Mood Board Monday: Coffee Tables

Hello! And welcome to the 15th Mood Board Monday linky party!! So glad you could make it:)

Today is special because Anna from my design ethos is joining us to co-host the party! Anna chose the category and inspiration pieces for today's challenge.....coffee tables from Pottery Barn and West Elm, to celebrate the opening of their stores in Australia (finally! yay!).

Remember, Mood Board Monday is all about seeing how different people are inspired differently by the same thing. So, your task is to take one of these four versatile and beautiful coffee tables and design a room around it. No budget, no limits, no real client...just have fun with it!!!

{West Elm describes this piece... Into the fold. Inspired by the Japanese art of paper folding, the Origami Coffee Table artfully supports a natural bone-tile top with a lightweight base. Its small footprint makes it ideal in the angle of a sectional or as a side table next to a deep sofa.}

{Described...Classic conversation starter. Part of our popular Parsons Collection, the Wrapped Metal Coffee Table's square legs are the same thickness as its top. This stylish table sits well with sofas of all sizes.}

{Pottery Barn says...A testament to the woodworker’s art, this table has turned legs and an intricately hand-carved apron. Metal strapping accents each corner, and the top has a deep distressing that lends a sense of history to the design.}

{Described...Artfully finished to replicate the look of weathered canvas and detailed with brass nailheads that secure the edge braces and corner guards, this piece resembles vintage trunks that have been re-purposed to serve as occasional tables. Wood-lined compartments allow stow space for blankets, games and more.}

Here's what I managed to get done on my mood board before I had to go and have a baby...its not finished, but hopefully there's enough so that you get the idea of where I was headed!! I could have worked with any of these coffee tables, they were all so good, but in the end I chose the Ludlow Trunk Table from PB. Then I found these two Shorebird Gathering Prints from Ballard Designs that I loved and the color palette and the rest came together. I guess I was hoping for a family/living room that was coastal and still casual but with an elegant, formal twist.

1. The inspiration piece of furniture, the Ludlow Trunk Coffee Table from Pottery Barn.
3. Lindenwood Sofa by Horchow.
4. and 5. Would never normally pair these together, but I'm loving the warm golds with the emerald greens here...Hunter Arrow Cushion in emerald by etsy seller belljar interiors and Yellow Ochre on White passion flower linen lumbar pillow case by etsy seller giardino.
6. Next to the sofa, this Gold Leaf Side Table from Wisteria.
7. Across from the couch, two of these Kendall Slipper Chairs from Pottery Barn.
8. Bubble Ceramic Side Table in Emerald Crackle by West Elm.
9. For the drapes, I'd use this Fern Star in Yellow by LL Textiles (Lauren Liess of "pure style home", I love all her fabrics!).
10. Elsewhere in the room would be this Secretary Chest from Wisteria...love how the inside is that soft, minty green.
11. Shorebird Gathering Prints from Ballard Designs.

  2. It's a light-weight table that seems to be stylish and trendy i do not have any complaints. it absolutely was easy to place . The table itself is good, incorporates a terribly nice black end and appears smart. It's durable and works nice as a basic table.

    Thanks
