Wall Maps

I kinda have a thing for maps. And I'm dying to hang up the huge US map (used in a German classroom in the 1950s) I found at Brimfield this year. I'm still not 100% sure where I'm going to put it, so here are some inspiration pics for the time being. (Most of these are from my Pinterest boards or just searching Pinterest, but I've tried to link back to the original source when I could.)

These maps are all hanging (from dowels as pull down charts, etc.) like mine. There are so many other amazing spaces out there using maps...I especially love the ones where the entire wall is covered in a map, so cool!!!

How are you guys feeling about maps lately?

  1. These are such great examples and a variety of spaces too so that is a great testament to the flexibility (I feel like I use that word a lot but it's important) of the map. I love that you can use it as colorful accents in a child's room or living room, but that it could also spice up a neutral living area too. I can't wait to see where you use yours and how you use it.

  4. We have one in our basement/man room and love it. It adds a great pop to a pretty flat space.
