Fall Frame Switcheroo

Hi! Monday again, huh?! Darn it. Well, at least we have the Fall Festival (every Monday in Sept., Oct., and Nov.) to look forward to over at the DIY Show Off. Head over to check out tons of fall related DIY projects:)

I'm participating with the one home related project I managed to get done over the weekend. I switched out some wall art in my living room to add a bit more of a fall feel. When I redid the mantel for fall, I took these 2 mirrored frames I had from Home Goods off the spring/summer mantel and went over and hung them up on the wall. Why not? There were already nails there.

Cool. I'm a huge fan of moving your decor around once in a while; it helps me not to feel bored, and its like shopping in your own home for free. (The Nester agrees, read her 31 Days to a Better Dressed Nest, Day 2!) I really like how the mirrored frames look on this wall stacked one on top of the other, but these bird/floral prints are not very autumny (plus there's not really any green and blue anymore in the room now). So I swapped them out for 2 dark brown trees....much better:)

You know me and my botanical clip art. It took me about 10 minutes to print out these trees, cut them out, take the bird and flower art out of the 2 frames, and stick in the trees.

I love how they turned out. And they could last me all through the winter if I wanted:)

Thanks for looking! And thanks for hosting, Roeshel!

  1. Beautiful as usual Sarah! It's a little fall bling - those frames are beautiful btw! (I was just reading a blog tonight about a touch of bling in a room...willow decor I think.) I love the trees too. You always have the best ideas and this is so easy and elegant. Great job!

Thanks so much for adding your inspiration to the Fall Festival!

  10. Thanks, guys! I love these frames, they were only like $7.99 each from Home Goods, but I got them about 6 months ago. I love how they sparkle, you can stick anything in them and that something becomes somehow way more glam!!!
